With several bulls sold into AI including the famous ZLL, Dalriada Red Electrode and Dalriada Red Perfection, we have the right blood lines. AI buyers obviously know their job. 2. Pedigrees haven't gone up as much as half-breds and offer a much better chance of profit. 3. Stars matter increasingly and these cattle are mainly top end 5 star animals. 4. Red Angus are popular because they generally offer shorter gestation, smaller birth weights but bigger final kill out. 5. Red cattle are associated with quality. Watch the mart prices for a red calf compared to the alternative. Its hard to say the price across such a large group. But the range for the yearlings is probably €2k to €3.5k. The heifers on the point of caving are obviously more valuable.
