Description
Mercury 40hp efi 2008 4 stroke outboard motor. Starts on the button and runs all day long. However on a few occasions after it has been running and has been shut down for half an hour it refuses to start until it has sat for another 10 mins with the cowl off. I have tested it with a pressure gauge when it does this and it's a high pressure fuel pump issue. I have fallen out with the engine and swapped it out. Cheap for this reason.
