During sales of the car, as car was waiting for the NCT, we agreed that potential repairs detected during NCT will be paid by N68 Motors.
Everything was done exactly as promise without single problem.

Brought a car from here and had trouble with the fan belt snapping twice. No other problems in general. Had it 2.5 years. And now to find out by my mechanic that it needs a new engine and that the car was actually wrote of at one stage and that the car was bodged back together and he has no idea how the engine has even lasted. Sickened because a dealer would have done background checks before buying a car so this was sold to me knowing it was a write off. And there's proof of the insurance claim. Do not buy a car from these people.!! Had a full year and a half nct on also but yet when I brought it for the first one since I brought it, it failed on lights being too high and the lights were actually screwed into place so something dodgy went on big time.! Again do not go near this place. And if you must do a full car tell check on the car first and learn from my lesson.! Scam artists.!!!

Really unhappy with this dealership.  Bought a car from them and had to go back because it was constantly misfiring and instead of offering genuine help they just seemed annoyed that I was coming back with a problem.  They sent me to their mechanic who diagnosed an electrical problem, (faulty body control module), and since the n68 motors warranty only covers engine and gearbox they told me that they weren’t obliged to help with the cost of repair.  I got the BCM checked out by 2 other mechanics who both said that it was fine, that the problem was more than likely with the plugs and/or coils.  I replaced a set of plugs which helped but it was still misfiring especially in wet weather.  I went back to n68 and told them that I was told by 2 separate mechanics besides their own that the BCM wasn’t the problem.  I asked them to take the car, drive it for a couple of days to experience the problem themselves but they refused.  I then asked them to fund the replacement of the coils but they refused.  When I then suggested that I’d have to consult a solicitor they finally agreed to help me with the coils and they sent me back to their mechanic who dragged his feet for 2 weeks, claiming that he was waiting for the coils from the UK even though they can be ordered locally at short notice.  I believe that the mechanic/n68 were just running down the clock on the warranty and had no intention of doing the work because eventually n68 said that they were no longer willing to replace the coils for me and that’s where we left it.  I have since gotten the plugs/coils sorted and I haven’t had a misfire since so it was obviously an engine problem and not the BCM after all.

Apart from the cost of sorting the engine I also had to replace an ABS sensor and the wiper motor shortly after buying the car, none of which was covered by their “warranty” even though it all happened within the warranty period.  Finally, if all that wasn’t enough, I noticed shortly after buying the car that one of the tyres on it was so badly worn on the inside that it was illegal and dangerous to drive even though that car had just passed an NCT.  I can’t see how that tyre was on that car for that test and still passed.  I asked n68 motors if they had replaced a good tyre after the NCT with the one that I ended up with - they said they hadn’t.  Whoever put that tyre on the car after the NCT put myself and other road users at risk and also invalidated the NCT cert that came with the car.

As far as I’m concerned n68 didn’t want to address any problems with this car after the sale, whether engine based or not.  I paid almost 3k for it, that’s not a fixer upper and it should be working properly from the outset.  Finally, I believe that by sending me to their mechanic for a diagnosis that they actually made my problem worse and wasted even more of my time and money.  Shameful behaviour from this dealership from start to finish.

I see that n68 motors have left a comment to my review and to that comment I would say the following.
1.  It is quite common for a misfiring engine not to show up as a fault code on a regular scan/diagnostic, any decent mechanic or a cursory search of the Internet will tell you that.
2. A misfiring engine IS covered by the n68 warranty if it's caused by faulty plugs and coils since these are on the engine.
3. I tried to fix the problem myself before i went back to n68 and I went back well within the warranty time so the argument that I waited 2 months is irrelevant.
4.  The tyre that was on my car was so bald that it could have blown at anytime and I cannot see how that tyre passed an nct. I'm not the only one who's had this experience with cars bought from this dealership.  See other reviews.
5. N68 motors says that they're sorry for the experience that i had with the car but their behavior would strongly suggest otherwise.  Their whole attitude and behavior throughout was all about denying their responsibility and doing their very best to avoid meeting their warranty.  Actions speak louder than words

Starting things off, I recently purchased a car off this garage, according to their warranty "All warranty excludes Clutch, Brakes, Shocks, Tyres Bearings, Bushings, Window Wipers, all electrics, Leaks Bulbs, Exhausts, Windows" and that the only thing that is covered is the "Basic Engine and Gearbox", which might as well state nothing is covered.

When I purchased the car, the car had just passed NCT and should be at the least fit for purpose. I have 3 main issues with the car since I have taken the car out of the dealership (still within the 3 month warranty when posting this)

1) Passenger side rear indicator light: the rear indicator light had started failing on me which I would have normally accredited to the light bulb being blown. Thus when I went to the garage to purchase a replacement, I found that the electrical connection to the light was just poorly zipped tied together to make the connection indicating that there was an issue with the light to begin with before selling the car to myself.

2) Front passenger side needs to be changed and classified as Bald tyre by mechanic (I note the car literally just passed NCT): I don't believe any further explanation is necessary. (Replacement tyre needed)

3) Intermittent Power regulation issue resulting in loss power steering failure: Since I have purchased the car I have had some issues with the car losing power steering as soon as I start the car, so far I have not lost the power steering whilst driving. Currently I have remedied this by turning the engine off and restarting the engine which works sometimes bringing the power steering back. When I brought this to the mechanic just at a look they have said they may need to change the regulator for the car, and troubleshoot the problem further in order find the root cause.

With the problems listed above, I decided to call the garage and bring this to their attention. Before I even finished the garage had begun their standard scripting that it's not covered under the above warranty and not their problem. The car is not fit for purpose with the intermittent issues with the power steering, bald tyre alone which is a wonder how it passed the NCT. Rather than going through back and forth with the garage I will now need to go to CCPC and Legal routes to further my complaints. The money to replace the parts is not the issue, but the principle of the merchant's practice and how this matter was handled.

Overall I would "steer" clear from this garage, I know that some people have experienced something similar to myself based on other reviews found online (Facebook & Google), and others didn't have any issues at all. If you have any issues with your car, make a call back to the garage and raise your complaint to at. least satisfy the necessity of attempting to resolve it with the merchant before raising the complaint via other channels.
