20' Hunter Medina Trailer-Sailer Yacht

Designed by David Thomas for Hunter Boats (UK), the Medina 20 is a sporty lifting keel trailer-sailer, based on the designs of the highly successful Hunter Sonata. It combines excellent performance, ease of sailing and practicality, within a 20ft overall length. Compact 4-berth accommodation is provided in a single cabin. With its light 860kg displacement and lifting keel the Medina is easy to launch and recover, while the low (keel up) 10" draft allows Medinas to reach those places other boats cannot go and sit upright on drying moorings. With a high performance bendy mast, fractional rig and 140% deck-hugging genoa, the Medina is fast to windward and is capable of matching or beating many fast 27 footers. Flat after hull sections promote early surfing and Medinas can attain in excess of 10 knots under spinnaker downwind giving an exciting ride.
