Unlike other personal emergency alarms, this unit is monitored by GPS/Satellite so works anywhere, with no need for telephone connection. Absolutely ideal for anyone living alone but this unit also monitors for falls, so perfect for those who suffer from epilepsy/drop attacks. The unit is worn around the neck at daytime and placed in the charging base at night . When pressed the button on the front lets you talk to the monitoring company, who are based in Stamullen, Co Meath. If the wearer falls the unit will send an alarm to the monitoring company. Working absolutely perfectly. Bought as present November '23. Please note, there is a monthly monitoring fee of 18 euro for 24 hour monitoring. This is payable to Task Community Care, ( taskltd.ie).
