Auction Year in Review Trailers

Following on from review featuring tractors, diggers & farm machinery we now take a look at prices achieved in 2023 for Trailers. The biggest takeaway message from 2023 was that the age of equipment is irrelevant so long as the equipment has been well maintained. Some examples: - 04 Chieftain 12T Dump Trailer sold for €10,600 - 04 Taarup 8ft Mower sold for €6,600 - 09 McConnell PA6500T sold for €14,000 plus vat - 1999 Redrock Silage Trailer sold for €10,800 - 02 Thyregod Beet Harvester sold for €16,000 plus vat - 2011 Abbey 1500 Tub Feeder sold for €15,000 - 09 Lely 12 Rotor Tedder sold for €11,000 plus vat The Irish Brands always draw lots of interest and we love to see the likes Abbey, Belmac, Bridgeway, Broughan, Cashel, Conor, Cross, Dooley, Hi Spec, Keenan, Major, McHale, NC, Redrock, Rossmore, Samco, Tanco and other Irish makes coming into our auctions. The TAMS grant is another factor effecting the value of second hand farm equipment. Cultivation equipment, sprayers, fert spreaders, slurry equipment and more recently feeding equipment are nowadays covered in some shape or form under these grants. Finally on the trailer front that Covid driven spike in trailer prices definitely calmed down in 2023 but with new trailer prices still high the demand for exceptionally clean second hand trailers is strong.
