Antique Sword Napoleonic French Heavy Briquet

Lovely piece of history from the classical Napoleonic period, many countries copied French weaponry from this era including the US as France provided the gold standard with its military might in the era. Though many other countries produced these Briquet swords, this example is undoubtably an original French production identified by the proof and city marks on the solid brass hilt. I also have the scabbard which appears to be original which is great to have, its very heavy, there were lighter ones made, certainly not for cavalry more likely for artillery soldiers needing less agility, often called cabbage cutters as with there short stout build, they were used for pretty anything that needed a heavy implement.
