Sadly the time has come to part ways with Misty Waters. She's a 62' narrowboat which has done every inch of the navigable waterways of Ireland and then some. She's great on the canals & rivers and also extremely good in rougher weather on the lakes of the Shannon. What Misty Waters really is is a home, and a very very comfortable one at that. She's probably bigger than most one bed apartments and will sleep 4 easily with a possibility of adding 2 more berths to the galley dinette if really needed/wanted. The sofa is a reasonably recent addition and from a company in the UK who specialise in seating/sleeping products for narrow boats. There's full storage underneath both compartments of the sofa and they both join up to make a double bed. The main bed is raised in the bow above the bow thruster and main water tank which gets really toastie on cold winters nights. Theres full storage underneath with a purpose built cabinet with a suit/jacket chamber. Misty Waters is fully self sufficient with a huge water tank, very sizable holding tank, a 280 diesel tank, 3 x 150watt solar panels and 2 x 150amp Trojan batteries which are 3 years old. Theres a 12 volt fridge which is very easy on the batteries, an 8 kilowatt multi fuel stove with an eco fan and its rare that one would need the fire stacked, simply it wpuld get too hot for the boat. There's a gas cooker with the bottles in a purpose built locker in bow with the proper scuppers/ventilation. There's also a 1000 watt inverter. Theres lots of funky joinery here and there with storage added in every corner. The ethos of the current owner was that if a space can hold air, then it can hold something else. Theres a brand new toilet. Theres 2 fan lights in the roof which aid ventilation of extremely hot days but their covered with boxes to stop condensation in winter. Full survey from 2020, 6 new anodes added in '22 and blackened. Lister petter 40 hpr engine. Boat builder was Fenmatch and she was built in 1989
