I Bought a Ford C Max in November 2022 for nearly €13,000 Cash. The car came with a 6 month warranty. Immediately after the warranty finished, the car was due a service. Results of which were I needed all New Tyers and the timing belt and water pump needed to be changed, totalling nearly €1000 euro. Few months after that.  I broke down, had to get road side assistance and required another services and check costing €350.
Now the car is un drivable, it needs a Gear Box and a Clutch. Estimated cost is €2,500. I called Carl just to say, I know it only had 6 month warranty but this is a lot of problems, Work and money for a car I have just over a year. His response was “you must be doing a lot of mileage”. He said if I get it fixed with them he could maybe do something on the labour cost and he would call me back in 5 minutes. He never called me back. I called back myself in the morning, was told he is unavailable and he would call me back. I never got a phone call back from Carl again. I had explained to him that I needed a car for work and I was in dyer straights, I needed to know what my next steps were going to be ASAP. No conversation, No empathy, no resolution given. My experience with the people on the phone has not been good either. I called into the Opal Garage down from Bolands and told them my situation. I drive out of the yard a few hours later with a new Citroen and ready to go to work in the morning. I will ensure that none of my friends or family ever go to Bolands for their car.
All that money I spent. And I couldn’t even get a call back.
Plus, on my test drive Carl asked me not to pay cash, get it on finance so he gets the commission. Very unprofessional. That should have been my red flag.
