Do you want free honey bees and bee hives? A great way to get free honey bees is to set up honey bee swarm traps. A swarm trap is a specially designed hive that mimics the conditions bees look for when scouting for a new home. These trap should be filled with empty comb, beeswax, or lemongrass oil, which emits a scent that attracts bees. Place the trap or bait hive in a suitable location, preferably at a height of 10-15 feet, and monitor it regularly. If there is a nearby wild bee population, they may find and occupy the trap.
