Acquired from a Lady whose father served in WW2 and visited near every corner of the globe. He was very well travelled to say the least. This is being sold on behalf of the family of a very very large Wexford estate that we are currently downsizing. A rare and classified map of Palestine and adjacent lands printed in Jerusalem by the Survey of Palestine. This rare, classified map depicts the bulk of what was the British mandate of Palestine, as well as adjacent parts of Egypt, Transjordan, Lebanon and Syria. It was compiled drawn and printed by Survey of Palestine in 1940, These large 3ft x 2ft NOT TO BE PUBLISHED maps are RARE, The last time one came to auction in 2022 the hammer slammed down at £212 GBP. , Another similar 1940s example is currently listed on eBay at £175 GBP.
