19th Century Coffer / Wooden Chest

A beautiful and authentic mid-19th century hardwood coffer, structurally very sound, this antique coffer displays an attractive aged patina with honest wear and tear consistent with its age, enhancing its appeal. The coffer retains its impressive original iron hardware, including decorative corner brackets, iron banding, large hand-forged flat-head nails, and a traditional locking latch, all of which contribute to its distinctive character. It also stands on its original wooden wheels, which run smoothly and make the piece easy to position. With its generous storage capacity, this antique trunk is ideal as a blanket chest, storage trunk for shoes or toys, hope chest, or antique coffee table. Equally suited to a hallway, living room, bedroom, or country house interior, it offers both practical storage and rustic charm. (1066) Dimensions: Width 83.5cm, depth 43cm, height 57cm
