The firm was incorporated in 1906 joining the firms of McKewan & Adie (manufacturing jewellers, gold and silversmiths) and E.S. Barnsley & Co (box and packing case makers). The firm was controlled by Percy Adie until WWII and afterwards by Tony Adie and Frank Taylor. In the 1960s the firm became part of British Silverware and closed in 1968. NOW AVAILABLE from a very large Wexford based estate in the process of downsizing - an exact mathing pair of salt cellars by Adie Brothers who are thought to have been established in 1879. In the year 1914 the directors were listed as Percy James Adie, Hubert William Adie and James Percy Alderson. Their Birmingham manufacturing premises were listed as 45 Frederick Street and 1 Northampton Street.
