Antique French Carriage Lantern

Refurbished turn-of-the-century French horse-drawn carriage candle lantern. Circa 1890–1910.The interior handle tube still contains the original mechanical, spring-loaded candle-advance system designed to keep a burning candle level with the lens. The front convex "bullseye" lens is missing, leaving the front rim open. The original bevelled side glass viewing window is intact and in great shape. Has recently been repainted.
