A Japanese retro box with a music box and a dancing ballerina, most often from the 1950s or 1960s. These classic wooden boxes were extremely popular souvenirs and dressing table accessories in the post-war period. When the lid is opened, the wind-up music box activates a rotating ballerina figurine mounted on a metal arm.
