Antique Kent Knife Sharpener

A Victorian-era Kent's Patent Rotary Knife Cleaner and Polisher, manufactured in London around the late 19th century.  Used before stainless steel became common to clean and polish steel knife blades using internal mechanism and emery powder.  Features a solid oak drum, cast iron base, and a brass plaque with a royal coat of arms detail reading "Kent Patentee & Manufacturer".  Collection only
