Antique set of 11 Victorian mahogany dining chairs

Beautifully shaped and finished with a balloon back with crown detailing, curved front and a turned front leg with tapered legs to the back. The comfortable supportive seats are in good used condition upholstered in a duck blue damask. They all have drop in seats which is a great feature as they can be easily removed to recover the seats should you wish to do so. Good antique condition for chairs of this age with minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations as is to be expected. The set of chairs have been well used with general signs of use, age and wear Two of the chairs are slightly darker and not an exact match. The 12th was broken but is available for repair and the seat will act as a spare or re-upholstery test. Photographs form part of the description so please look carefully. They boast original polish and have a fantastic depth of colour and patina in a rich brown colour. These eye-catching chairs ooze class and style and would look good anywhere, either in a formal setting or for everyday use. They would grace any home, office or as an occasional chair in bedrooms.
