Antique Sideboard

**Antique South African Kiaat Sideboard (c.1930s–40s)** Beautiful solid African hardwood sideboard, brought over from Johannesburg and in our family for many decades. Made from kiaat (African teak), prized in South African cabinetmaking of this era. Features a hand-carved central medallion, three deep drawers (middle drawer with original green felt-lined cutlery compartments), and two cupboards each with a shelf — huge storage capacity. Sits on turned legs with a trestle base and has a shaped upstand at the back. **Easy to transport:** the top and base separate easily into two sturdy pieces, making moving and placement simple — fits in an estate car or small van. Solid timber throughout (no chipboard), with all original brass drop handles. In great condition for its age — a genuine antique with real character. They don't make them like this anymore.
