Antique Twin-Pedestal Desk – From Former Convent A substantial traditional twin-pedestal desk, recently removed from a convent following its closure. The desk has a lovely traditional appearance, with a dark wood finish, brass-style drop handles, panelled drawer fronts and a green inset writing surface. It has plenty of storage, with drawers to both pedestals and three drawers across the top. This is an older piece with plenty of character and history. It is in used condition and would benefit from some restoration/TLC. There are scratches, marks and wear to the finish and writing surface, together with some areas where the trim/veneer requires attention. I've deliberately included photographs showing the condition rather than trying to disguise it. It is nevertheless a very attractive and substantial desk and could look excellent after some sympathetic restoration.
