Antique Victorian/Edwardian Piano – Brooklyn Piano Co. (Excellent Playing Condition) Description: Beautiful antique late-Victorian / Edwardian upright piano by the Brooklyn Piano Co. (London), originally sold through the famous Pigott & Co. of Grafton Street, Dublin. Unlike many pianos of this vintage, this instrument is in **great playing condition** and functions wonderfully, with the exception of just one note. It has been well looked after and retains a lovely tone. Features a stunning walnut and ebonized wood casing with gorgeous floral marquetry (wood inlay) detailing and its original brass candle sconces. Make: Brooklyn Piano Co. (London) Local History: Original Pigott & Co. Dublin dealer plate. Frame: Vertical Iron Grand (Cast-iron frame helps keep it in tune). Condition: Excellent functioning order except for one note (the hammer has come detached but is included inside the top lid, see photos) and the right foot pedal is broken. The cabinet has a wonderful vintage patina with some minor age-related cosmetic wear/chipping to the veneer on the side edge.
