A superb 19th Century Victorian solid walnut library chair by the renowned London cabinet makers Hindley & Sons, dating from circa 1865–1875. Retaining its original maker’s stamp for 134 Oxford Street, London, together with its original brass castors, this is an exceptional example of fine Victorian craftsmanship. The chair has been professionally reupholstered in beautiful Fermoie fabric, one of Britain’s most sought-after luxury textile houses, perfectly complementing the elegant walnut frame. Presented in immaculate, ready-to-use condition, it combines timeless craftsmanship with contemporary British design. The chair is structurally sound and in excellent antique condition. Any historic signs of woodworm have been professionally treated, leaving the chair in superb condition and ready for everyday use.
