Antique Victorian Mirror-Back Chiffonier / Display

A stunning late Victorian (c.1890–1900) mahogany parlour cabinet, full of period character and beautifully preserved. The impressive mirrored gallery back features multiple bevelled-edge mirrors framed by ornate hand-carved scrollwork, acanthus leaf details, and delicate lattice fretwork, all crowned with a dramatic carved pediment. Below, a fretwork-carved frieze drawer with original gilt ormolu handles sits above a two-door display cupboard with shaped bevelled glass panels, plush velvet-lined shelves, and a working brass escutcheon pull. Open side shelves offer additional display space, and the whole piece stands elegantly on carved cabriole legs joined by a shaped undertier. A real statement piece — perfect for displaying china, glassware, or curios, and equally at home in a period property or as a striking contrast in a modern interior. Condition: Good antique condition with lovely rich patina; wear commensurate with age.
