Antique Victorian Walnut Tripod Occasional Table

A charming Victorian walnut occasional / wine table, likely dating from the 1860s-1880s. Solid walnut throughout, with a nicely figured circular top above three slender turned and ringed columns, joined to an attractively carved tripod base with scrolled feet and a turned central finial. This kind of piece was traditionally used beside a favourite armchair to hold a lamp, a glass of wine, or a book - a lovely size for a hallway, living room or bedroom. Dimensions: Height: 71cm / 28" Width (top diameter): 58cm / 23" Condition: Overall good antique condition with a lovely warm patina to the wood. One of the carved scroll feet has become detached at the base - it is present and intact, and would be a simple job for a woodworker or restorer to reglue. Reflected in the price accordingly.
