Original Arts & Crafts oak armchair dating from circa 1890–1910. Elegant shaped back with central splat and subtle architectural detailing Comfortable scroll arms supported by turned front uprights. Traditional drop-in seat cushion upholstered in practical green vinyl. Sturdy frame with good joints and a solid feel. Decorative stretcher base. 114cm high at the back x 61cm wide at the arms x 60cm overall depth. Seat height is 48cm. Condition. Structurally sound and ready for use. Good colour and patina to the oak. Light age-related wear consistent with over 100 years of use. Seat covering is serviceable and could easily be reupholstered if desired.
