Description
Beautiful Antique Pedestal Teapoy/Tea Chest. The lid is solid wood, not fully sure what type, looks like walnut or rosewood. The rest appears to be walnut veneer on a wood frame. Very elegant detail. Four tiny castor feet that look like cast iron with brass rollers. Unfortunately, the original inserts are missing, i.e tea caddy inserts, glasses etc. A removable shelf with red material has been inserted instead. This material appears modern. The bottom part appears to have it's original material, not sure, a sort of soft blue/green colour. No key. Inserts and key could be sourced if someone so wished. However, it is still a lovely piece which can be used for storing tea but it could also make a nice wine table or a sewing/knitting chest etc. In used but overall very good condition considering age. A little bit of wear and tear as can be seen in photos. Approx. measurements as follows: greatest width of 15.75 inches, greatest height of 30 inches and greatest depth of 13.75 inches.
