Description
Danish designer, Carsten Joergensen, developed this 'Teaball' teapot in around 1986 for the Danish homewares company, Bodum. This is an elegant and beautifully designed set and has a distinctive look. The strainer is marked with Bodum Design Carsten Joergensen. The teapot is made in brushed stainless steel with a domed lid and a removable semi-circular tea strainer. There are three bronze ball feet on tripod stainless steel legs, and the teapot features a short triangular shaped spout, and a hinged black wooden handle with bronze screws. A domed lid with a round bronze finial rests on a lip beneath the teapot rim. A deep, semi circular strainer sits inside the teapot, and its arched wire handle fits under the domed lid, the strainer is in perfect condition. I have only ever had this set on Display. The milk and teapot are also in beautiful vintage condition. Dimensions: Teapot: Height: 20cm / 8” Milk and Sugar Bowls: Height: 7.5cm / 3 1/2”
