Chapel or Church Rood / Chancel Screen Panels

2 1/2 highly carved panels from an old Oak rood / Chancel Screen . One of the panels has a ring of thorns carved at the centre encircled by a pierced circular quatrefoil design unfortunately the other has no ring of thorns. the half segment has no applique carving but is still a nice piece of the screen and may be of use. The screens show losses to some of the carving and the reverse of one shows evidence of being burnt, so the panel may have suffered fire damage at some stage. Rood screen segments like this are extremely rare and thus almost impossible to find, they would suite an interior decorator/Designer or DIY project. The screens are delicate and shipping will have to be arranged and paid for by the buyer. Each screen is approximately 113cm long 109cm high and 13cm deep. They are beautiful pieces of history and would look stunning in the right setting.
