Douroucouli or Night Monkey Print Jardine 1833

Antique print, hand coloured from 1833 after William Jardine. It is titled, Douroucouli, Aotus Trivirgatus. Also known as the night monkey they are the only truly nocturnal monkey species in the New World. The print was published as part of the Naturalist Library by W.H. Lizars, Edinburgh. The prints are approximately 10 by 17 cm’s. The prints are in good condition, paper will show ageing and foxing, please see pictures. View more prints at Antico Gallery
