Early c20th hand-carved wooden zebra bookends

Charming, decades old! Ideal for a nursery! Likely picked up abroad as the vendor of these is in her 80s and her father served in WW2 and he was in Egypt and just about every other corner of the globe whilst serving, these are fairly heavy and possibly made from jacaranda wood or a similar tropical wood. It’s likely he picked them up whilst away and gifted them to his daughter who was born in the 1940’s, These were part of a large Wexford estate for years and are more than genuine, not made yesterday! We know the vendor (family) personally. As said the vendor is now in her mid 80s and remembers these as a child! SIZE: 15.5CM approx. tall in great condition.
