The quality of this piece is really beautiful, the wood and inlay are excellent quality and the gilt bronze mounts and escutcheons are beautiful quality too. Edges of the piece, top, sides, and bottom are covered with a bronze band. A combinaion of rare Tulipwood and Kingwood. Serpentine front, two doors with a pair of escutcheons in the center, when opened the interior features a large shelf. Country of origin France. Condition is excellent with age and use wear as expected for age. It measures 50" wide, 37.5" tall, and 17" deep. Please view the photos, it really is a beautiful piece of furniture. Downsizing, hence we are selling some of our larger pieces. The absolute best price for this antique piece which cost 3,500 is 1,000 quick sale as I have reduced it several times.
