Fitrobe Free Standing Oak wardrobe

Vintage Fitrobe Gentleman’s Wardrobe (Model 3704) A superb example of early to mid-20th-century British craftsmanship by Fitrobe Ltd., renowned for their meticulously organised wardrobes. Constructed in quarter-sawn oak, this piece combines timeless elegance with functional design. The exterior features panelled doors, beaded cornice detail, and the rich warmth of the original finish. Inside, the wardrobe reveals Fitrobe’s signature fitted interior: labelled compartments for shirts, pyjamas, collars, gloves, and underwear, along with a pull-out hanging rail and multiple drawers. A mirror is mounted to the inside of the right door. All labels, maker’s badge, and serial plate (No. 3704) are intact. The wardrobe stands solid, with only a small chip to the top moulding (see photo) that does not affect structure or presentation. A fine collectible for those who appreciate Arts & Crafts-era joinery and functional furniture design—ideal for use in a bedroom, dressing room, or retail display.
