Description
Antique Georgian silver toddy or punch ladle with original twisted baleen (whalebone) handle, decorative engraved silver stem, and silver bowl inset with a genuine Queen Anne silver fourpence dated 1713. The bowl features the Queen Anne coin visible to both the interior and exterior. Monogrammed “RCM” to the side of the bowl. Original silver ferrule and end cap present. Obverse: ANNA. DEI. GRATIA. (Anne by the grace of God) Reverse: MAG. BRI. FR. ET. HIB. REG. 17 13 (Queen of Great Britain France and Ireland 1713) Approximate dimensions: • Overall length: 36cm • Bowl diameter: 6cm Condition is consistent with age and use, with surface wear and tarnish.
