Description
Antique print, hand coloured from 1833 after William Jardine. It is titled, Leonine or Lion Tamarin, Midas Leonina. These tamarins are famous for their mane-like fur, which gives them a “leonine” (lion-like) appearance. The print was published as part of the Naturalist Library by W.H. Lizars, Edinburgh. The prints are approximately 10 by 17 cm’s. The prints are in good condition, paper will show ageing and foxing, please see pictures. View more prints at Antico.gallery
