Mid-century teak cabinet

W76cm D43cm H195cm Mixed solid teak and teak laminate. A beautifully simple mid century cabinet that is perfect to make the most of a sitting room alcove. It offers some exposed shelves for displaying items and books, doors to hide away others and spacious drawers for extra storage. This unit has served us so well but it’s time for it to find a new home. Given its age and use it is in good condition. There are a two parts where the teak laminate edging has come away but one is on top of the unit so cannot be seen and the other is at the base so you would miss it. There are some spots that show scruff on the exposed shelves but those are mostly cover with items and books etc. there is also some scuffs on the sides of the base but again are in line with its age. The unit still has the original lighting wired in which is cool but would need to be replaced to meet modern standards. It was manufactured by little known Mid-Century British maker of teak called Durable Suites Ltd which was setup in 1938, but may have operated under a different name prior to that.
