Mid Century Vintage Crannac Model B Lounge Chair

“Is iontach an rud is annamh” A rare Crannac Cocktail/Lounge chair Model B designed by Arthur Edwards for John Hogg & Co Ltd dating from circa 1961. John Hogg & Co Ltd was a small company based in Navan County Meath which produced a range of exceptionally high quality mid century furniture geared towards the export market during the period from 1959 to 1963. The "cocktail/lounge" chair which was part of the Crannac collection of domestic and contract furniture launched circa 1960. A stunning chair featuring solid teak turned frame with suspended back and seat arms with striking curves and angles throughout. The teak afromosia frame has been fully cleaned, the internal seat and back rest foam has been replaced and the chair re-upholstered with a gorgeous green Camira 'Yordale' 95% Wool fabric. The Crannac furniture range is synonymous with excellent design, quality materials and superb craftsmanship, the Model B chair design is justifiably considered an Irish design classic and a much sought after collectirs piece.
