Pair of 17th Charles II walnut chairs.

Both chairs are carved throughout, with caned back panels and seats. The cresting rail, back upright panels and front rail are carved with flowers and foliage. Other rails, with barley twist and bobbin turnings, contribute to the decorative elegance of the style. These chairs have come through the centuries extremely well, acquiring a perfect patination. One of the cane seats has some dipping but structurally sound. Otherwise the chairs are in excellent condition. 114cm high. 49.5cm wide. 50cm deep. Seat height is 46cm.
