Description
Polish mechanical mantel and cabinet clock "Jubiler," dating from the 1960s. The design represents the iconic trend of Polish post-war design (New Look / Mid-Century Modern). These clocks were assembled by the Jewellery Factory (Zakład Assemblu Zegarów in Warsaw) and distributed by the state-owned chain of jewelry and watchmaking stores "Jubiler." The movements often came from the Mera-Poltik factories in Łódź. The round brass dial features a distinctive black ring and minimalist linear hour markers. The clock sits on a simple, geometric, dark base made of painted wood. The clock shows visible signs of patina and requires polishing. The clock is fully functional. Thank you for your attention.
