Rare Vintage Arklow Wash Basin and Large Jug Set

A beautiful, genuine vintage earthenware wash basin and matching large jug from the historic Arklow Pottery (Co. Wicklow). Features a striking, vibrant pink and purple rose floral pattern with delicate blue forget-me-not accents and gold trim. Both pieces feature the early, rare arched Arklow backstamp with the letter 'D' and hand-painted pattern number 2612, dating this set back to circa 1930s / 1940s. A fantastic piece of Irish ceramic history. Condition: Gorgeous vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Features some light, natural age crazing under the glaze which adds beautiful character to an early piece like this. Usage: Perfect as a classic display piece, rustic bedroom/bathroom decor, or used as a unique floral planter. Collection only from Renmore, Galway City.
