Rare Vintage Sculptural Side Table

A very unusual and characterful vintage side table with a sculptural wooden frame, upholstered sections with a leather-like finish, and a substantial removable glass top. The combination of shaped wood, aged upholstery and glass gives the table a distinctive sculptural appearance and makes it feel more like a decorative designer piece than a conventional side table. I cannot confirm the maker or designer. However, its form and overall design show stylistic similarities to pieces associated with names such as Willy Rizzo, Guido Faleschini, Knut Hesterberg, Horst Brüning and de Sede. These names are mentioned purely as stylistic references and not as an attribution, as I have found no label, signature or documentation confirming the maker. Despite extensive searching, I have been unable to find another identical example, suggesting that this is a rather uncommon design. The upholstered sections have an aged leather-like finish with attractive patina. I cannot confirm whether the material is genuine leather, so I prefer not to make that claim. There are visible signs of age and use, including wear to the surface and remnants of older fabric underneath / around the fixing points. The removable glass top has some minor marks / imperfections around the edges consistent with age and use. These are not particularly noticeable when the table is in place but are mentioned for accuracy. The wooden structure is solid and has a warm aged finish with normal surface wear and patina. Overall, the table presents very well and its age-related imperfections add to its character. Ideal as a side table, lamp table, occasional table or statement piece in a living room, study, library, hallway or period interior.
