1863 antique print, engraving, titled The Cathedral and Fort castle from South Gate Bridge, Cork. The print was published in 1863 as part of a larger set by Tillotson titled Ireland and it’s Scenery with the publisher being T.J. Allman, located at 463 Oxford Street, London. Rare print, another copy is held at the National Library of Ireland. John Tillotson (c.1830–1871) was a British publisher and author best known for editing and publishing illustrated volumes, including “Ireland and Its Scenery”. Based in London, he specialised in pictorial travel books, collaborating with artists and engravers to produce 19th-century works on Britain and Ireland. The prints overall paper size is 7 by 9 inches with the engraving 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches. The print is in very good condition for age, marking on paper commensurate with age, please see pictures.
