Staffordshire Lady Snuff Taker Toby Jug,1820 A PORTOBELLO TYPE TOBY JUG 'FEMALE SNUFF TAKER' England,mid 19th Century. A standing female figure wearing a black hat, a patterned jacket and striped skirt, a circular base with green sponged decoration. The standing figure holding snuff to her nose with one hand, a snuff box in the other. Height 10" by 4" widest/base.Well moulded, nicely decorated and with a bright glaze. In very good condition no damage or repair but handle on the back missing. (B1)
