Description
Vintage Imperial Melamine woven edge tray and matching breakfast tray by Smit of Guildford dating from the1970s. The tray depicts 'SUSPENSE' the last oil painting completed by Charles Burton Barber in the late 1800s where a golden-haired child has to say her prayers before being allowed to enjoy breakfast in bed, while her animal companions wait patiently. The image subsequently used in the promotion of Pears Soap. The Smit of Guildford sticker is on the base. The tray is 18" long x 12" wide at the rim that is flared out to accommodate handling when in use and has beaded raised handles at each end. Breakfast tray is 24” long x 15” wide 11” high Set €35 Postage is up to 10kg for €6 PayPal and revolut accepted Collection Dublin City centre
