19th-century Victorian relief-molded ceramic jug pitcher manufactured by the renowned British pottery house W.T. Copeland (Staffordshire, England). This piece features a striking, highly tactile vertical ribbed and beaded pattern across its bulbous body. The neck is adorned with a repeating geometric circle border, transitioning into a classical fan/shell motif directly beneath the spout.The handle features a beautifully organic, stylized branch or thorn design that offers excellent grip and visual contrast. The underside of the base features a crisp, impressed "COPELAND" manufacturer stamp alongside the date code letter "U," which signifies a June production date under Copeland’s historical dating system established in 1870.
