Victorian rosewood prie dieu or prayer nursing chair with original needlepoint upholstery and original brass castors. Both the seat and the backrest are covered in hand-stitched needlework. Turned front legs and spayed back legs. Beautiful warm colours on the upholstery and a fabulous patina to the rosewood frame. In excellent condition for its age. 102cm high at the back. 47cm wide. 67cm deep. Seat height is 38cm.
