Vintage Attendance/Rota board

20th century possibly late 19th Attendance hardwood board . In nice original condition , a smaller version than is usually found possibly for a smaller office such as a doctor's or smaller clubhouse. Original hanging clips still intact at either side. This is an antique wooden staff in/out board (sometimes called a personnel or attendance board). Historically used in offices, hospitals, or clubhouses, these boards provided a visual way to track the presence of staff members. This features a manual sliding mechanism. Key Features and Functionality Sliding Mechanism: The wooden sliders move horizontally. When pushed to one side, they reveal the word "IN" and when pushed to the other, they reveal "OUT". Staff Slots: Each row represents a different person. In a professional setting, nameplates would typically be attached to the blank wooden space on the left side of each slider. Construction: It is crafted from hardwood with a simple, utilitarian design typical of early office furniture. The pull tabs on the left edge allowed users to easily toggle their status as they entered or left the building.
