Vintage French Moustiers Decorative Faience Plate

This vintage French plate is ideal for a wall decoration or used as a stylish sharing platter. Hand made and hand decorated in a very traditional design using the traditional Provençale faïence colours. Marked on the reverse with Dux Moustiers, Fait Main and I believe the decorator’s mark, possibly the letter J. Based on 18th century motifs. An original decorative piece from the Moustiers- Sainte-Marie region, with representations of birds, insects and delicate floral motifs, all hand painted with great detail. Signed and authentic piece, sought after by collectors and craft lovers alike! In absolutely perfect condition, no chips or cracks. Dimensions: 28cm x 21cm. Collection in Straffan, Co.
