The bonnet features a classic scrolled swan-neck pediment crowned with a central turned finial. The stunning clock face is a work of art, featuring a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, ornate brass spandrels, and a intricately decorated brass center. The clock sounds out the passing hours with a rich chime sequence, believed to be the classic Westminster chime on the quarter hours, followed by a full strike on the hour.
