Vintage Patterson G.P.O. Safety Lamp (Working)

Authentic vintage heavy-duty metal safety lamp manufactured by Patterson Lamps Ltd., Gateshead-On-Tyne. Features an oval brass maker's plaque stamped with "G.P.O". While styled like a classic miner's lamp, the G.P.O stamp indicates this was originally issued to General Post Office engineers to safely light and detect gas in underground telecommunication tunnels. It is in great condition, complete with its inner glass cylinder and top hanging hook, and it currently lights and burns beautifully. A brilliant functional piece for collectors of industrial heritage or as rustic ambient lighting.
