Description
Very rare Jim Beam US Civil war centennial decanter which has been up- cycled as a table lamp. From 1961, it commentated the centennial of the civil war - 1861-65 to 1961-1965. It is a handcrafted ceramic decanter which Jim Beam burbon manufacturer produced to hold their burbon and to commerate the war. This decanter carries illustrations of mounted soldiers and includes mention of famous soldiers like, Lee, Jackson, Longstreet,Beauregard and battle locations like Chancellorsville. In different shades of grey, blue, brown and cream it has gold lettering. The decanter is structurally solid despite slight surface cracks as shown in photos, hence the low price for such a rare item. The up- cycling means it works perfectly as a table lamp. It measures 39 x 23 cm. An ideal addition to a home bar or for a collector of US civil war memorabilia.
