Vintage Wooden Chess Sidetable

A really unusual vintage wooden table with a built-in chessboard top. The table has a lovely aged finish with plenty of character and patina throughout. The chessboard is constructed from individual contrasting wooden squares and surrounded by a wide mitred timber frame. Tall, slim proportions make it a particularly attractive piece of occasional furniture – ideal as a chess table, games table, side table or simply as a decorative piece in a living room, study or hallway. It has deliberately not been heavily restored, so it retains the marks, variations and imperfections that give an older piece like this its character.
